The Brashear Tigers kicked off their varsity basketball season Friday night as they hosted Schuyler County. Schuyler took the early lead and were up 15-9 after one quarter and 26-23 at halftime. Brashear came out strong after the intermission and had taken a 39-37 lead by the end of the third quarter. The Tigers held off Schuyler going 7 for 11 from the free throw line in the 4th quarter to claim a 55-48 win.
